Friction and Its Effects | Newton's Law of Motion

Friction force opposes the relative motion of the body. It's what wears your bicycle tires and any other rotational mechanical system which costs you a lot of money to replace or repair. But in the world without friction, you're not going to be able to walk because your feet lose all grip. Even if you somehow can walk, you cannot stop and will keep sliding off, crashing into one object after another.
