Surface Area Problem 1 (Calculus 2)

Surface area integrals are simple to set up but are often very difficult to evaluate. For this problem there's a simple way to rewrite it that makes the integral much easier to evaluate with a substitution. This or a very similar problem tends to appear on tests and exams on surface area and applications of integrals.
