Soo much cleaner look.
The 2nd red wire closest to the black is for add a fuse. You connect it to dash light. Tail light etc.

The red wire next to the green goes to your wiring harness. That will turn on the ditch light symbol when you turn on the lights. The red wire next to the black connects to anything that turns on when all the interior lights go on ( I connected it to my headlights). This will turn on the "ditch light" wording.The black goes to the black and the green from the switch goes to the other wire on the harness. So that is three wires from the switch that go to the harness and one wire that goes to anything that lights up that when the interior panel lights go on. Hope this simplifies it.

I watched another guy do this and he basically took the whole dash out this looks easier

Extra red goes to inside fuse panel using an add a fuse.

The other red wire will have the bottom of your switch light up when your interior lights are on. When you turn on your ditch lights, the whole switch will light up.

What did you end up doing to fix the wiring being pinched under the hood? Just installed BD S1 ditch lights and am seeing the same issue.

Can someone tell me what gauge & type of connects he is using? I’m not at all familiar with this wiring business but I just my lights today and have a switch I want to use instead of the stock Baja one they give us. Help would be appreciated.

. I want to get new ditch lights for my car but im just going to wire them to my battery with a fuse. The thing is I already have my light bar wired to the battery. Will adding another fuse and ditch lights kill my battery? Even if theyre not on?

Does your ditch light button get hot after some use? When I wired mines the 1st time, I grounded it to the the negative terminal of the battery and melted the button twice (smelled like something was burning) before changing and mounting the negative to the chassis. No more melted button but my ditch light button does get hot and sometimes it's hard to press the button to turn off when its been on for a long time. I wired mines both red from the switch/button to the red (with the black). I just want to see if others button gets hot after turning on the lights for a long period of time.
