i remember when i was a kid and my dad promised me something, nothing... and i mean NOTHING was going to convince me that he would not keep that promise. When he got sick and was close to the end I cried and asked him to promise me to get better. He simply replied with "I cannot make a promise I cant keep kiddo, I'm sorry", That was the hardest thing i have ever heard but It taught me that when i have children to treat a promise made to them as if my life depends on it. because it does. Thanks old man :)

This movie is one gigantic punch to the emotional gut. When he gets back from that water planet and immediately goes to the messages to his his 15 year old daughter as forty something telling him she hates him my hearts wanted to rip itself out of its chest.

Unbelievably powerful movie, All Star cast, and Hans Zimmer music perfectly framed every emotion that you were meant to feel throughout the movie. Truly a masterpiece.
