Do You Agree That THIS Was The Best Harry Potter Film Ever Made?

Harry Potter is one of the most beloved franchises across the world, with the series having millions of fans, all of whom have a deep affinity with the magical world. But that doesn’t mean that HP fans agree on everything, with a number of fans debating which is the best character, the best novel, their favorite spell and of course which house is unequivocally the best. This debate of course continues onto which movie in the series is the best, with everyone having their favorite movie for differing reasons. Of course, which one is best is always going to be relatively subjective, but there is surprisingly seemingly somewhat of a consensus with there being a movie that is consistently topping the polls as the number one Harry Potter movie- ‘Prisoner of Azkaban’- and there is good reason for that.

In this video we will discuss why Prisoner of Azkaban is seen as the greatest Harry Potter movie off all time, what makes it tick and why it is so universally popular. That will include the vision implemented by the movie’s director, the introduction to new characters and outstanding thespians, and a tonal shift that would define the movies to come.

my top 8 is

1: ootp ( it focused more on the characters and cut out things i never really liked, such as the poem draco wrote and that fight, it did cut out snape calling lily a mudblood though)
2: poa (the cinematography is GORGEOUS and gary oldman as sirius black is a gift from heaven, BUT it cut out the whole marauders storyline and gave ron’s important line to hermione which happens a lot in the series btw)
3: dh p2. (an amazing end to an amazing story, i have nothing more to say except for the way they did draco dirty which i can write an essay about.)
4: PHILOSOPHERS stone (everyone is literally adorable in it and it’s such a feel good movie i honestly love it so much. but i didn’t really like how they cut out neville for some scenes like him standing up against draco’s goons, him being there when they find fluffy and him going to detention with hermione, harry and draco instead of ron who had got bitten by norberta.)

5: cos, (actually my least favourite book behind the order of the phoenix but the movie makes up for it, it made one mistake though. you could literally see one of the camera men during the dueling scene of harry and draco. the movie didn’t really show malfoys prejudice that much but it made me crush hard on lockhart dhdbdjjdjd and christian as tom was the best decision they made, i’ll talk about that other tom the lower we get.)
6: dh p1. (This movie is plain boring, i think the reason being how they kind of cut it out in the middle, they also ruined ron and made him say this horrible line book ron would NEVER IN HIS LIFE say to harry and they made him seem like a jealous prick when he just didn’t like how hermione, the girl he loves is in danger. ALSO his reaction in the malfoy manor scene, my favourite scene actually ok that’s because jason and helena look good in it, anyways his reaction in the book was much sadder and the movies he was just like 🧍🏼‍♂️wE hAvE tO dO sOmEtHiNg)
7: hbp (i know most girls like this movie because dRacO’s hOt iN It but no it’s literally so inaccurate to the book and focuses too much on romance. and the LACK of chemistry harry and ginny dan and bonnie are good actors but no- harry literally had more chemistry with cedric’s dead body for god sakes, and they totally changed the astronomy tower scene and cut out the whole battle and bill getting injured, i’ll talk about bill later btw. and the romance in the book was totally cut out, remus and tonks were already together for some reason, bill and fleur? never heard of them, and for what? to fricking let the burrow burn down dhdbkdjdbd and what happened to m’boy tom also why are like 3/4 of the memories cut out but they kept unnecessary scenes in such as that dramatic breakup scene of lav lav and won i legit only watch this movie because rupert’s fit in it.)
8: gof, (look i only watch this movie for cedric and ron, like THAT’S it, first of all, where the actual heck are bill and charlie? actually WHY was charlie cut out of the whole franchise???? second, where are mr roberts and basil 😔🤚🏾 ok just kidding they aren’t important but what’s up with winky and bagman not existing and crouch his hair not being unnaturally straight, bertha jorkins also NOT existing and rita being an animagus just being ignored???? also why weren’t they on the top box? it’s literally important that they were, otherwise would harry not have lost his wand. i mean it’s good that they cut out draco thinking it’s funny that hermione could get sexually assaulted since that doesn’t fit movie draco, but i genuinely didn’t like that they made beauxbatons and durmstrang single sex schools when they weren’t in the books. they basically cut out the whole mystery part of the book and kept one mystery in but still ruined it by showing crouch jr.’s face.... and we already knew who casted the mark mid the movie when in the book we knew it at the end. they also cut out a lot of skeeters annoyingness like the article about hagrid and hermione. they also made ron kind of a piece of shit in this when he wasn’t THAT grumpy in the book. like the yooouuuu eeevveeerrryythhhiiinnngg !!!!” was not in the books and hermione kissed krum right afterwards. don’t forget the and what’s up with draco being sad at deadrics funeral? he was literally mocking him, but malfoy’s personality change is something i could talk about separately. also the dragon chase scene could’ve been shortened and instead they could’ve added the match i wanted to see!!!! anyway, this is my top 8 so yeah)

I agree 100%. Prisoner of Azkaban had a wonderful style that closely matched how I pictured the books in my head. Its not my favorite book, and I did not care for the scooby-doo ending, but it is definitely the best movie.
