I had the same situation when I went to a random server, there were few players, and then after the round all the players left, I was left alone with the bots, alone.

This is a perfect description of what makes the game the most painful to play. The bots kick all the humans. Sometimes there is only one real person per Server, surrounded by all the Whatever-tronic, Mechinator, Matrix and Kitami bots. There's just not enough people to play with. It feels lonely.

About two years ago, I watched as a Sawmill CTF match got overran by bots. Eventually there was only two real players left on each team. We both had locked down our intel, leaving the match in a permanent stalemate. We had Eureka's, and would often teleport to spawn just to stare out of the window into the land crawling with bots. We would trade stories with the other team, trying to figure out ways to meet one another. None of them went through, the bots were too ferocious. We stayed like that for an hour, often spending minutes just staring out through the windows. As time went on, the only other person on my team left. His spot was quickly filled by a bot. Another person on the other team dipped. Then the last person who wasn't me left. And it was just me, waiting until our team capped.

Then all the bots suddenly dropped. All of them left en-masse, presumably due to either finally getting banned or just being required elsewhere. And it was just me. Alone. In an empty Sawmill server, left only with the leftover chat logs of our last conversations.

honestly the most fun i had with the game was that one day when it updated to 64bit and it broke most of the bots. still cant believe there were people who worked to get them back up like a day later

Being alone in TF2 casual server is the most scariest thing for me...

I joined a bot infested casual server, then everyone vanished (bots included). It was only me and an enemy pyro, ended up being a very peaceful experience. Then actual players started to flood in.

I remember playing on a server, where it was just me (a soldier), and two other guys (a demoman and a medic). Me and the others were dancing at spawn, until the bots started to vote kick those who were there, first, the demoman was expelled, leaving me and the medic, then it was the doctor who was kicked... In the end, I was left alone, the bots started another vote to remove me, I was the last survivor of the server and I saw two of my companions being kicked out, they took me away, but I will never forget the demoman and the medic
