I feel like Spy and Sniper would be friends. They would bicker with each other constantly because of how opposite they are, and they'd never admit that they enjoy the company of the other. But also Sniper would be a massive introvert

This video explains why I love Sniper so much as a character.

While the other mercenaries have people that care for them (Heavy with Medic and his family, Spy with Scout, Soldier with Demoman and Zhanna, Engi with Pyro.), Sniper is pretty much all alone.

His adoptive parents are dead and his real parents don’t even care for him at all (and I doubt he even made some friends before he became a merc), which makes the rest of the mercs the only people who are still alive to care about him.

And if they’re gone, who will care for him then?

Sniper doesn't need anyone, he is a professional on the job site, professionals do their job quick and clean. Sniper is the world's finest professional assassin and his lifestyle is already adapted to being alone.

You can get why he’s alone and probably an introvert. Sniping really involves just sitting far away completely alone to be able to work properly in some cases
