I really want to finish this episode but it’s 4 am and I already worked a longer shift than I was supposed to. The fact that I keep inching closer and closer to calling in to the “three one oh eight four four six one five nine” voicemail so I could tell you about the divorce I’m going through at this very moment. I wasted 10 years, just passed our 5 year wedding anniversary, and found out a week ago he cheated on me with my best friend on my birthday. Your podcast means so much to me right now that I’m obviously falling asleep trying to sit through the remaining 50 minutes but when you said “you found your person etc etc *eyeroll*” I ALMOST called. I need about another week and I’ll be able to explain everything without getting choked up but responding with a real life emote 🤪✌🏾. I love that Andrew is here, I love you Chris. I totally agree that giving yourself the allowance to have a "memory box" or a "junk box" really helps when you have an emotional attachment to items lol. I keep EVERYTHING when it comes to my son- he's only two and I have a hole dresser drawer full already and a whole closet of clothes that I can't bring myself to get rid of.
Truly I have kept everything 🤦🏼‍♀️ I have every appointment card from my pregnancy, I have the little papers and hospital menu from the day he was born, I have the receipt from that meal, I have the receipt from his circumcision, I have his umbilical cord 🤢, I have every greeting card he has ever received, I have the hat he wore in the hospital, I have his first soother, the nip from his first bottle, I have hair from his first haircut, his first home hair cut, his first haircut done by grandma 🤦🏼‍♀️, I have a piece of the wrapping paper from his birthday outfit, I have the cake toppers from his birthdays, and much more random items that for some reason I couldn't bring myself to get rid of lol. I can't help that I'm a sentimental lol one day he will enjoy it I hope :P
