When you beg in last minute, but still have an attitude and expect perfection, you get what you get.

Dude, I love how the service workers just woke up one day and said "Treat me like a human, or gtfo." Whoo!

Normalize treating Karens like trash. If we don't penalize bad behavior, it grows.

Ok but can we talk about how nice it is of her to let the apprentice practice on her hair?
I would literally die for you if you did that for me. The amount of trust.

That last "my day off" hit HARD. YOU GO GIRL. My family is a family full of cosmetologists, especially hairstylists, and would be DAMNED if this ever happened to any of them.

Imagine being so nasty to someone who has the power to make you look completely ridiculous for weeks or months

i love the comments like “don’t be rude.” if a client isn’t capable of acting like a decent human, they don’t deserve services, end of story. no one deserves to be spoken to like that at their job and if someone wants to behave that way they need to expect at a minimum the same energy back.

This is why I arrive 15-20mins early, am polite, and leave as big a tip as I can.

Stop fkn with service folks y’all, you need them and they’re humans

When I was hairdressing a client arrived 3 hrs late for her appointment on my lunch break that had started she pretty much told me put the fork down and come do my hair, I said no, she was shocked I told her my time is as valuable as yours, I'll be happy to give you another appointment for another day, but today I'm already fully booked! She was never late again.

That was so sweet of you to do that on your day off, but also good for you for sticking up for yourself

AMEN SISTER!!! My services are a privilege. I’ve worked hard to acquire these skills and always maintain professional service. . . Until the ungratefulness in people starts to come out. Then no longer going out of my way 😂

A few years ago I called into a salon that I had never been to with an emergency. When I walked in the stylist was getting her hair done. TBH, I was feeling a slight bit irritated at first until she told me that they don’t open on Mondays and that I just happened to catch them in.
I was so grateful to them for helping me that I left a fifty dollar tip. I absolutely felt privileged that they went above and beyond to be kind!

I had an older man that snapped at me everytime I tried to ask him questions about what he wanted. He was very aggressive, "JUST DO IT!", was essentially what it came down to. So I clippered his hair and then he complained about it not being what he wanted. I told him as nicely as possible that I would have given him what he wanted, had he actually answered any of the questions I TRIED to ask.
His hair was grown out to the point that there were zero indicators of what he may have gotten previously. When you act worse then the worst child I have ever had in my chair, you get a clipper cut and you get out or you get nothing and you get out. Those are the options.

I have been getting my hair done every 6 weeks for years.... And it always amazes me while I'm sitting in the chair just watching things happen, the people that come in and get attitude for no reason at all. I'm sorry they have never learned there's 3 people you don't ever give attitude, the person starting your iv, the person coloring your hair, and the person giving you the

I worked at a grocery store in Chicago during covid. You wouldn’t believe the amount of abuse we took. I wish we could have said anything to defend ourselves or take a stand based on human decency and kindness like this 🙃
