Putin says civilians must be evacuated from Kherson war zone

Video released by the Russian defence ministry shows Kherson residents crossing the Dnipro River as Vladimir Putin said civilians must be evacuated because of 'the most dangerous actions'.

As Ukrainian forces close in on the key city, Russia has moved in reinforcements and dug in positions. Kyiv's forces have liberated a large area of Kherson oblast, but progress has slowed in recent weeks as they have approached the Dnipro River.
