I wish everyone in the world was like this woman. Tough, but fair, and willing to give second chances to those that deserve it.

Preach it Ma Harper. I was always taught by my parents that "you don't work, you don't eat." And they backed that up. If my father told me to shovel the driveway in winter, and i didn't. I didn't get supper until i had. Nothing like busting butt shoveling a long driveway only to get a cold dinner. Because i didn't do it when i was told to do it.

Important life lesson there. Don't put off what needs doing. Do it, THEN screw off.

When I was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, I was just out of Navy boot camp. 18 years old. Never had left the South. I was homesick, as Navy Boot is right outside Chicago. And when I wanted some southern cooking a shipmate told me to check this place out. I never realized they got featured on DDD. This place was awesome and Ma Harper was so sweet and inviting. Made me feel like I was truly back home.

Ma Harper aint playin! And she has a point, take care of your tools, and your tools will continue to work for you. Abuse your tools, you'll be spending a lot of money on new tools. Respect your craft, and part of that is respecting your tools.
