The Goliath Spider is actually a real spider. But its not that strong or big. Also they don't spin webs that often, because the bury themselves underground to wait for birds to land nearby and to surprise attack them. They also climb trees to catch birds. Their full name is "The Goliath Bird Eating Spider"
