Pretty much what it says on the tin; it's a live-action concept VFX piece for a light spell, from the animated show The Owl House.

For those asking how I did it, this was done inside After Effects- and though the effect can be achieved without them, I used a multitude of different plugins to save myself the time. As for those saying that the spell takes the paper with it when cast- yes, I do in fact know that, however as I didn't know how to pull off such an effect without it seeming artificial, I chose to forgo that part.

After all, this is a concept, not a faithful re-creation.
Otherwise, I'm glad you're enjoying it :D

Dude, that is freaking I never thought it would look this good IRL (or at least _simulated_ RL)—as part of The Owl House’s charm is its quirky animated visuals—but somehow, it just works!
