I vote both. I definitely don't fret being a little dirty and messy because it is supposed to help immunity and allergies later in life, but proper hand washing should be a regular thing. It's so gross when people don't do that!

Being around a little bit of dirt when you're younger can be incredibly beneficial because it will help your body develop a better immunity to things.

Naturally - you are both correct. But I think it's best to be right in the middle. I don't wash my hair for as long as possible, because they don't get greasy as fast as they would if I would wash them every day. I shower every second day and I wash my hands fairly often (after I go to the toilet and if I touch something dirty and sometimes when I just feel like my hands are sticky or sweaty). I think that is the healthiest way to go :)
