Mr. Tracy, what a marvelous lexicon of valuable and intelligent advice to managers.
I have used many of these ideas with great success. The ability to recognize that management is really a study in psychology, rather than just finding ways to extract work from people separates the leaders from the second and third rate manager types. Building self-esteem in employees is not that difficult for me, and it pays great dividends.

 Somehow the constant command and control ”bean Counting and scolding” routines can never really match the level of potential most employees have or  accomplish the results that poorly trained managers want but seldom get. The proliferation of these misguided types in management continues to be a real challenge in the workplace. Some companies still think fear is the answer to better productivity. Conversely, you clearly prove this kind of narrow minded negativity is not the productive & profitable answer. 

Perhaps it takes a confident, healthy positive sense of self-esteem to be a really effective manager.
What does that say about companies and those managers who still employ fear and punishment routinely? Are they really as successful as they could be?Finally, what kinds of employees are they ultimately attracting?

 Thank You for continuing to illustrate the positive, simply because it actually works better by far, than any other negative management tactic currently used. In short is good human relations smart business?
