I'll watch the video later when I get home, just wanted to thank you again - got out of my dentist's office minutes ago.
I had a cleaning and once again she didn't find new cavities! My hygiene still isn't where I want it to be but I'm constantly working on it. Thank you for the education you're giving me on this channel, rescuing my teeth and bank account💛

At 77 years of age I still have a baby tooth (eye tooth) in my mouth, covered with a crown and I also never developed any of my wisdom teeth.

My son didn't have lateral incisors. I had no idea it was so common. He had braces in middle school and the orthodontist filed his canines down a bit when he got them off.

I like your title: "Born With Missing Teeth." I wasn't born with any teeth. 🙃 I never grew in a left upper lateral. What happened are the rest of my front facing teeth grew to the left that filled in the space. My front teeth weren't centered. I had a right cuspid extracted during orthodontic care. That got me back to an even number of teeth. The orthodontist then pulled the rest of my teeth to the right to get them straight and centered. My upper teeth are still slightly off-centered (about 2mm) but I live with it. Eventually I got veneers on my upper teeth. The left cuspid, now in the lateral's position, got shaped to look like a lateral. Unless one is looking straight down in my mouth, nobody can tell. I got a new dentist when my previous dentist retired. She initially couldn't tell.

I have 1 peg lateral and 3 missing adult teeth from this disorder. I am just now (at 50 years old) able to take care of the issues that I’ve had since birth. I began with braces 3 years ago to make room and align my teeth. Six months ago, I had surgery to remove 3 baby teeth and one healthy adult tooth along with bone grafts in two sections of my upper jaw. This was very painful, but I am healing well. The jaw looks good and I will get 3 implants in just about a month. Yes, it’s costly and insurance literally paid $200 out of my initial $5K surgery. I expect they will fight me every step of the way on the implant surgery which will be close to $10K more. Then 4-5 months later I will get fitted for my crowns and bridge that will then connect to the implant posts. It’s a process and super costly. I only wish I’d done this sooner in life! Thanks for sharing this informative video❤

My bf has this. He is missing one of those teeth on the side of his front teeth. So on one side it immediately goes from front teeth to canine.

Thank you for posting this! Great information, I'm missing both lateral incisiors and have 2 baby teeth as well. Long orthodontic treatment for me. 😅

My daughter is missing her lateral incisors, no one in my family is missing the lateral incisors so I was surprised. I have 5 siblings and none of us even needed braces of any kind. I'm trying to learn about it for her sake. She's just starting to notice that she has big gaps between her teeth 😞

Yep… I was one of the few unfortunate souls to be born with this. Born with 10 missing adult teeth and a brother who was born with a cleft palate and 12 missing teeth. Horrible state of affairs. Sitting on an NHS waiting list to receive treatment whilst hanging on to 5 of my original baby teeth! Couldn’t write it!

I was actually born with an extra tooth, right behind my two front teeth. I had to have it removed before I got my braces. Could you make a video about that?
