i highly HIGHLY recommend getting a small child's pool for Smudo and fill it with about 50mm of water. basically just enough water to submerge his paws. he will it and he may only just stand in it for a few minutes at a time, but its an absolute necessity for the summer where your shop is. it will basically make it impossible for Smudo to overheat. just make sure the pool you get has a thick bottom so his claws don't instantly destroy it and then you have to lead him in the first time to he knows what it is. you can also spend a bit more can get a cooling pool made for dogs which will have a much thicker rubber bottom.
