I also experienced malfunctions where the machine did not get filled quickly or at all, or that it would not complete the spinning cycle with about eight minutes on the clock remaining. The solutions were easy. The first problem was easy to sort out. I loosened the water inlet hose at the back of the machine and removed the sieve on the inside of the pipe at the inlet point. After I cleaned the sieve and installed it again, the problem of filling was gone. The second problem was just as easy. At the outlet, there is also a filter which can be cleaned. I have found some thin string that wound up and caused the water pump to stop functioning which caused the machine to stop. I just removed the string and the machine runs 100% and I did not have to buy a new water pump, motherboard or electrical spares. Needless to say, I saved plenty of money and did not enrich the scammers who would take your money without blinking twice.

Ok! Why would a washer just start as soon as you plug it in? Then just keeps going through the cycles non stop.

Speed Queen yay that's what mine does stops mid-cycle. They came out and fixed it what was under warranty. Didn't help.

Any ideas on why a Hotpoint washing machines washing stage duration is less than a minute? I have to keep cycling it back to washing stages about three times to get decent wash.

my washing machine will work on all settings except delicate. it will work, but it keeps turning off & on. I think it will work if I leave it alone, but I usually just wash on normal load. can anyone help?
