I am seventy eight and today on my car radio I heard Janis singing Bobby McGee and I cranked up the volume to honor a beautiful soul!🌹

Very few people on Earth could compare to the stunning beauty of Raquel, and very few people on Earth could compare to the stunning talent of Janis. They are both beautiful people.

While Janis' sing voice was loud and raspy, her talking voice was soft and melodious. RIP Janis and thank you for the years.

I love the way Janis responded. Both women endured and/or loved the adulation that came from fame and I know Janis suffered from the cruel things some men said in front of her about her looks in her early, unknown days while performing, but she wasn't about to be a shrinking violet or sulky in the presence of beautiful Raquel. She had made a big name for herself with her singing, song-writing and originality. She was gracious, but certainly held her own in that moment.

I don't think I've ever seen an interview with Janis Joplin, she seems like such a quiet, beautiful little soul.

An old boss of mine went to highschool with Janis, sat right behind her. He told me she was very shy and that other kids would sometimes make fun of her. I dont think Janis liked herself very much. She is kind of forgotten more today then she was back in the 70s, 80s and even 90s. Not by me though. A true flying comet and tornado of talent. Raw passion. Incredible performer who tragically left this world way too early.

Janis REALLY loved her fans. Very admirable. Her response showed just how beautiful of a person she really was. And THAT kind of beauty doesn't fade. Wish all artists/celebs knew how to treat their fans.

I feel so sorry for Janis, because she was thrown into a world of sharks, totally unprepared. She was a musical genius and a genuine soul.

I just read that Raquel really wanted to meet Janis. They probably had great conversations after the show. Two really fascinating people.

Janis has an innocence, childlike. This world chews up and spits out people like her. So tragic. I loved her.

You know Dick Cavet was saying to himself " I'm in heaven" sitting between Janice Joplin and Raquel Welch 😂 Two beautiful entertainers who loved their fans

“No man they’re friends of mine” That’s Janice. Such a very cool person.

Such a cute answer "No man they're friends of mine you don't understand." It got a chuckle outta Raquel too.😁

Amazing how two women can look so different, yet both be so beautiful

One of the most outwardly beautiful women on earth (Raquel) and one of the most genuinely talented voices and inwardly beautiful souls on earth (Janis).

I heard "Cry Baby" on the radio just about a week ago, and it still gives me goose bumps. Just incredible.

Janis’s beauty lay within her soul. Most people found her unattractive but she was beautiful inside and out.
