the price of 1440p monitors isn't the problem for me, the problem is higher resolution = less FPS = need to spend more money on other components. A GPU and CPU combo that can run 1080p games at 60+ FPS won't be able to do the same at 1440p

Well done bro.. liked and supported.. I'm planning to upgrade my 20" 900p to a 27" 1080p. Considering the ppi is only 81ppi in the 27 incher, do you think I'll notice pixelation in the text while reading or was it manageable for you?

Went to pc shop and compared in person. Here's what i found:
If you're nitpicking and view REALLY close to monitor, you will see the difference.
But if you're like me, sitting from a distance, i can tell you 1080p on 27 inch looks the SAME with 1440p.
Heck when i view up close i can also see pixelated angles with the 1440P.

So the conclusion is, IT ALL DEPENDS ON HOW FAR YOU"RE SITTING AWAY FROM YOUR MONITOR. PERIOD.

Hey buddy, you seem to have a ton of experience with monitors, can you give me a hand? I can't wrap my head around this...
I really like the 27-inch display size as my main display for productivity --coding, taking notes with my graphic tablet, and watching educational videos--. Because of that, I would like to have a monitor that complements the 27-inch display...Which resolution would you recommend for the 27-inch display, and which monitor size and resolution would you recommend as a complementing display for the 27-inch display?
I was thinking of going 27 at 4k plus a 24 at 1080p
Appreciate your suggestions!

Very well done my bro.. I'm on a tight budget and having a tough time choosing between a Dell 27" 1080p IPS monitor and it's 24" 1080p variant with exact same specs. The 27" incher have gone through a heavy discount and it's now currently on sale for 209$ and the 24" for 170$.
I really appreciate the bigger working space on the 27" but my only concern is the lower ppi density as it's just 1080p on a 27".

I sit about 70-90 cms away from the screen, a bit further away from most. Should I worry about pixelated texts as I do mostly text editing based work and reading? Or is it manageable?
Do you think the 27 incher a real steal at the price to grab for? Need your thoughts.

1440p just doesn't work for gaming, in my perspective. You are not going to get those 144hz if you have 1440p unless you have rtx and the last gen cpu. I would rather go for an 1080p 27 inch 144hz. Right now I have this 24 inch 75hz 1080p monitor.

P.S. I've never used a 1080p monitor before (neither 24" nor 27"). The only 1080p screen I've used is my 15" laptop screen.
