Lebanon says more than 100 killed in airstrikes, Israel issues evacuation warning

The death toll from the ongoing Israeli strikes on southern towns and villages in Lebanon has risen to 100, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health.

Israel's military has initiated fresh strikes against Hezbollah positions in Lebanon after identifying that the Iran-backed group was preparing to attack Israel. Israel's military spokesperson Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari announced the strikes and called on residents of south Lebanon to keep away from Hezbollah posts.

Lebanese citizens expressed concerns as Israel intensified widespread airstrikes across southern Lebanon, moving closer to all-out war.
"This is the beginning of the war," said Lebanese shop owner, Mohamed Sibai. "They (referring to Israel) crossed the red lines, they crossed all the lines, and we say that we are no better than these martyrs who are dying," Sibai added.

Meanwhile, evacuation calls have been received on phones as far as the Lebanese capital, Beirut.
"They’re calling everyone and threatening people by phone. So we’re here to take my boy from school,” said Lebanese citizen Issa, “The situation is not reassuring," he added.
