Good architecture does not shout. It doesn't do this cabin either. With the simple building body, the simple details and the light, slim roof, Koia gets a quiet appearance in the surroundings. The narrow horizontal drawbar and the continuous window and slab panels emphasize the tight architecture. The entrance area is recessed, as is the terrace in the gable.
Hytta's floor plan is neat and clear. It contains two bedrooms, bathroom, storage room, porch and open living / kitchen area. The ceiling of 30 degrees also provides space for a spacious storage or lodging home. Large windows let in a lot of light, and the open ceiling in the living room and kitchen increases the feeling of space.
Koia Moderne has identical floor plan as Koia Tradisjon borset from the home solution. Here you can see how the important details determine which character the cottage gets.

Not to be insulting, but for the life of me, I have no idea how anyone, any company, thinks there's a market for something like this. Now, if it were 60K, that would be another matter altogether. My understanding of the tiny house movement is a low cost, get out of debt, and live life as opposed to spending one's life slavishly to a mortgage and high cost of living. I love the design, it is gorgeous, but missed the value proposition. Is there a way of value-engineering this home down to something more consistent with the tiny house movement?

This is a beautifull little cabin, If you put it on a full basement with added rooms, "plenty of space!." but up goes the price maby another 100 k for the land and having it built! Waaaay to much money unless your rich! I live by a nice lake, and theres a brand new house just built overlooking the lake with frontage, about 150 foot! Three bedrooms two bath, and all the aminitys going for approx 275k! thats with the lot and completely built! Its a modular home! in Wis.

People saying this build is too expensive clearly have never built anything. You’ve got at least 100k in materials and glazing and probably nearly as much as that in trades building it, you’ve also got the plot to pay for.

Beautiful. In the UK all the major house builders are stuck using outdated designs and building techniques. They are not even cost effective or stylish. It’s mid 20c cheapness.
