Would be awesome for you to do a video on your trip planning process. How you choose a route, choose a site, etc. Are you planning on Alltrails and then downloading the route to your watch? Picking back country sites from Parks Canada or just free camping on crown land? Would love to know your process for this.

Love all of your explainations on why you chose each piece of gear based on the season. So important to have options .. not just fair weather gear.

Great comprehensive but concise presentation. You present the gear in a manner that allows listener to understand important criteria for gear decisions. Nice to see you talking about Katibatic quilts. I think they make a great product.

Can we just take a minute to appreciate how gorgeous the backgrounds are in Justin's videos?

Check out the Flextail Pump Pro!

For a little extra weight it blows up faster and easier (no attachments required), lasts longer, it can deflate the pad, and has a bigger battery that can double as a power bank.

Definitely worth the extra cost and weight

Taking a thermometer is genius 👍🏻 I see a spreadsheet with temps, gear and “how did it feel” in my future

In 2010 I used an REI Flash 65 pack for Philmont. As a BSA trip, they require you to carry a lot of extra gear. I had tons of stuff hanging off my pack. In 2013 and 2016, I used an Osprey Aether 70 at Philmont. It is now my go to pack.

Carried the Flash 65 for many years. I had the REI UL 1 person tent at the same time. Both were excellent and outstanding choices. Both never failed me and the price was perfect for the time.

8:59 Or the X-Mid 1P. Yes, slightly heavier than the Lunar Solar but that brilliant X-Mid design.

I dont know if it was just to be more presentable for the video with the vibrant orange but the silver side of the switchback is supposed to be facing up, itll be a lot warmer that way
