How to plant garlic | In a no dig bed | Charles Dowding
With no dig, it's quick and simple to prep the ground. Remove any weeds, dib holes as I show, and pop in the cloves. About 1.5cm / half inch below the surface level.

Space at 10-12cm apart in rows 30cm apart (4 x 12in). Planting in rows allows easy inter sowing of carrots and beetroot in May next year. Perhaps easier weeding if there are more than a few.

You can plant homesaved and store-bought garlic. Select the largest cloves and eat the smaller ones!
Spread around 2.5cm / 1in compost on top after planting.
