It actually works a lot
I used to be a more than average student in my 10th grade but after in 12th grade I used to see youtube videos of those lessons which mam is gonna teach after few days and by that I understood topic very clearly and actually became school Topper with that awesome strategy and didn't even do much hardwork ( smartwork rules over hardworking lol) 🌚🌚😎

I did this in 6th grade, and it backfired.
In Reading class in 6th grade, we would read a new book every quarter. I remember reading two chapters ahead of what we were already reading, so I felt accomplished. I got into the mindset that I didn't need to read the book because I was ahead. That led to me not even reading the book when I needed to because I was in that accomplished mindset.
