Winter Fishing Gloves - Toolant's Balaena Winter Glove

Most current winter fishing gloves fail because your hands end up wet - something that is not best for cold weather. I compare Toolant's Balaena Winter Gloves to the two types of fishing gloves normally used when fly or spin fishing in the winter. These are waterproof, breathable and have a nice fleece liner - they should work just fine. Let's see what my review concludes.

Ah, cold fingers. I do know about that, Get them wet and it really gets tough. Glad you figured out how to retrieve the line onto the reel spool smoothly. A lot of folks don’t consider how important that is for the performance and long term endurance of the line. Wonderful offering, Boots are next, I hope.

We would love to be snowbirds and stay in the Gulf of Mexico each winter, but can't. So our cold weather fishing approach is to sit by the fire in a heated house (in TN) and fish vicariously through several YouTubers until we can get back to the Gulf in person 😁

You are in SC for the winter. What temperatures do you experience on the winter in your area and what is your threshold for "too cold" to go out?

Do you get paid for these evaluations/endorsements above and beyond the free pairs of gloves?

Too bulky for me. I prefer a pair of nitrile gloves and then fingerless fleece or wool over those.
