The Moral is don't f*ck with Hades and his wife, they both are ferociously defensive of each other, which is why they have the healthiest marriage out of all gods.

Also, some difference in the story

In some accounts, Theseus and his friend reached the house of Hades and even was accepted into the dining room by the god himself. But as soon as they say down, the chairs fused with the men and they were forced to stay there to pay for their punishment.

You mention Orpheus, but he had a pretty easy time in hell all things considered. It was when he got out of hell and had the villagers cut him into pieces I say was much worse.

(Not so) Fun Fact: Before Pirithous and Theseus began their ill fated journey to kidnap Persephone, they had already kidnapped *THE* Helen of Troy to be Theseus's bride. The only problem, Helen was 12 at the time.

So these paragons of morality decided they would keep Helen until she reached a more "appropriate" age.

Honestly, I feel Hades might have been a bit too lenient with these morons.

Tbh, Hades is one of the chillest and nicest gods in the Greek Pantheon as long as you don't piss him off.

He lets Persephone leave the underworld and even let her stay as an equal (remember, the pomegranate seeds was by her choice to eat. He didn't force her)
He let a famous bard take back his dead wife as long ss he didn't look at her on the way back
He let mortals enter the underworld
And best of all, he has a three headed dog.

The one you should worry about his wife.

My favorite interpretation of this is that Hades invites them over for dinner after their long trek like a good host would. After he has them sat down, they fuse to their seats and Hades sends the Furies after them.

I love how they used SuperGiant’s design for Charon. Visually, Hades (SGG) is such a stunning piece of media, and its writing is equally so. So many interesting and touching moments

If I had a penny everytime someone wanted to kidnap Persephone in order to marry her, I would have two pennies. This isn’t a lot, but it is sad it happened twice.

The Underworld in Greek Mythology is NOT just hell, it is also heaven in a way. The Underworld is where the souls of the deceased go after they die, but they can either end up in paradise or one could end up like Sisyphus or Tantalus/Atys (there are many more instances in which people were punished for the way they lived but those are the two that come to my mind right now). The two extremes of the underworld are the Tartarus, basically hell, it's descibed as a prison and punishment for those that have opposed the greek gods. The other one Elysium basically being paradise, where the heroes of the gods would go. Another one would be the Asphodel Meadows, basically the version of Elysium for rightous people, etc. (Sry if I misspelled anything english is not my first language)
