The worst thing is that this could be referencing multiple greek myths.

That close up on Daedalus' face was hilarious. Man questioned his entire life right there.

For anyone wondering, Minotaur was able to be born because his mother was a imortal goddess. Pasifae was a daughter of Helios and the Oceanid Perseis, she was part of a family of magicians (her sister was Circe and her brother was Aeetes, the father of Medea, all of those were magicians). So since she was a goddess she was able to gave birth to a minotaur that a regular human would not be able to.

"I can explain!"

"I don't want you to."

Solid gold line.

To further the weirdness with cows, Europa's great-great-grandmother was Io, who was turned into a cow by Hera after being caught being Zeus' "lover"

I don't know why, but I really loved the jokes in this episode. Even more so than normally. They're just one banger after another.

The funny thing is the reason Pasiphae needed the fake cow body Daedalus made was because the bull didn't want to have sex with her.

She catfish a cow because it had standards!

I read that Pasiphae and Circe were sisters. So I think that means she was an immortal sorceress also. That explains how she was able to give birth to the Minotaur and survive.

The soldiers using the Dendra armour made me happy : ) i've noticed that bronze age aesthethic you give to some of your greek characters and clothing and I find it fascinating really.

If I remember correctly Daedalus' was the father of Icarus and, after making the cow suit, both of them were imprisoned on the top of a tower. Daedalus studied the movements of birds to make a set of wings for Icarus out of feathers and wax. Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too high, as the heat of the sun would melt the wax, but he didn't listen and wound up falling into the ocean.

I'd like to see more on the Gods of Rome, along with their similarities and differences to the Greeks, as well as the Gods of the ancient celts, Etruscans & other Italic peoples, too!!

The character designs in this video were A++. I mean they’re always good but these are extra good. And baby Minotaur is h*ckin’ cute.

Fun fact for why Crete keeps coming up with Bulls: Crete's original bronze age civilization, the Minoan civilization, wasn't actually Greek at all, it was its own seperate society we know very little about. One things we do know, or at least think, is that bulls were very important to their religion, because we keep digging up ruins and finding frescoes with Bull iconography, most notably depictions of "bull leaping", with people jumping over bulls.

It's possible that Minoan civilization is also where the 'Labyrinth' myth originated in the first place: The Minoan civilization had these massive fortress-palaces that would have been very maze-like, especially to Greek visitors who didn't know about the 'rules' for getting around them.

Fun fact Cadmus summoning soldiers out of teeth and chucking a rock to make them battle to the death was reused in story of Jason and the Argonauts

After having read Circe multiple times I think I forgot just how weird the original stories can be when you don’t have a grounded likable protagonist.
