As a 21 year old im happy that 90% percent of vehicles today are reliable and good looking.

I'll have the Subaru exterior. Civic interior. Elantra engine and the cerato price!

What about Subaru safety system and asymmetrical AWD

What about the active safety systems? The Subaru has eyesight, nothing was said about the others. Seriously guys...

Good review, I suggest a scoring system (just a simple table at the end). Thanks

Great presentation! All 4 of these compact sedans have their own strengths and weaknesses. I have to say, though... I am quite impressed with the all-new Kia Forte (Cerato).

I have personally had the chance to review the newest Elantra and the newest Civic, but I have not yet been able to review the Subaru nor the Kia. Hopefully, I can review the Forte (Cerato) within the next couple of weeks.

Once again, great comparison review! From one car reviewer to another, keep up the great work.

A lot of us are probably thinking, if only the KIA had the Hyundai engine at the same drive away price!

The Cerato sedan will have a turbo model coming next year. The hatch version will come out with a turbo end of this year and said to be 150kw. Waiting to see what the hot hatch will be like.👍

Totally agree with your review. Kia Cerato is definitely the better choice for this category.

The Cerato GT is just out. 150kw, 0-100 6.95. What a machine! So I bought one.

In America Civic is picked always first without asking and researching enough and they just still live with the impression of 1990s about Honda and Toyota.
Aussies are pretty smart and realistic.

Now that the Cerato has a GT model it ticks all the missing boxes

I like the Hyundai the best, but once you factor in the price, the Kia looks mighty appealing. I don't know what the Japanese are doing. If you live in a place that absolutely requires AWD, then you're pretty much stuck with the Subaru. Why does the Honda cost so much? It's made in Thailand after all..

I have a 2018 Kia Forte EX here in Canada, and I love the automatic, with the shift modes from eco to sport. In eco I usually get around 5.8L/100km. Seriously one of the best cars I've ever owned.

Love the look of the new Kia. They've been on fire the past few years.

From cerato user in Vietnam. The Australian version is clearly same as Vietnames version. So love Cerato :))

Civic owner here (although at a lower spec) - Civic was far more refined during test drives than the competitors (especially the Mazda 3 and Koreans). Infotainment takes some getting used to, but is great once you get the hang of it.

It feels sporty and planted to the ground under quick acceleration and turning, and was quick enough to get me out of a near accident. CVT doesn't bother me too much as it makes the drive very smooth.

I use it as a city runabout, only going to the highway once in a while, so this car fits me perfectly. An added bonus for me was that I bought it with a 7 year warranty and 7 year roadside assist as I bought it at the EOFY sale.
