It’s not about being a planner or not. It’s about making sure you’re informed about every single scenario, prepared to advocate for yourself and your partner, knowing the alternatives, utilizing the BRAIN model, and ensuring you have informed consent. Get a doula, have a birth plan. Even if nothing goes to plan.. you felt knowledgeable and prepared for what could happen.
