Parents should watch Sarah Hill’s TED talk and read her book “This is Your Brain on Birth Control”. Young ladies 19 and younger are particularly at risk.

I have an emergency question!! It’s my first time taking birth control. I lost my pack on a Wednesday and my pack began Saturday . I was at the last week of the pack which are the brown pills so Saturday Sunday Monday Tuesday and Wednesday I took the brown pills but when I lost the pack Wednesday and picked up the new pack on Thursday I started with the hormone pills instead of finishing the brown pills for 2 more days Thursday and Friday. I realized on Saturday that I was suppose to be taking the brown pills so I took the 2 I had missed. Should I have done that? Also when I got the new pack it was Thursday so I placed the sticker beginning with Thursday on the pack. I’ve been taking the hormone pills regularly but I’m afraid I’ll be out of place by the time I have to take the brown pills. I’ll be missing brown pills since I took the 2 to replace the ones I didn’t take from the pack I lost. If I don’t take the brown pills for this pack is that fine? Please someone help!! It’s my first time taking the pills. If it’s confusing I’d be glad to show someone what I mean over FaceTime or video.

Im a 14 year old in Australia and i wanted to take the depo shot to be safe(in case anything does happen) with my boyfriend. I went to my mother and she agreed because she wanted me to be safe also, although when we went to the doctors and asked for it my doctor said he couldnt because i wasnt of age which is 16 apparently and that my boyfriend could be charged, refusing my request… although that never sounded right to i or my mother because isnt any woman regardless of age allowed to receive the injection if they want to stay and be protected from pregnancy? And he is 14 like myself so that shouldn’t happen since we are the same age and we’d both have consent if we did. Im wondering if the doctor was right or not because I’d really want to be safe and not be worrying 24/7. i have trouble with worrying a lot like my mother, and everytime something happens i worry a bunch until something relives it, constant stress and anxiety for anyone is a terrible thing and feeling and i dont want to have to go though any of that, and certainly not pregnancy. I feel like everytime i touch my boyfriend im going to regret it somehow and if i got the shot i wouldn’t have to worry at all, so will someone please tell me?
