Divers Exploring A North Sea Shipwreck Discovered An Immaculate 400 Year Old Royal Treasure Trove

Packed between beams of wood and buried in sand, the crate had lain undisturbed on the seabed for nearly 400 years – the lost cargo of a mysterious shipwreck – and the intrigue surrounding it would only deepen. Located by a team of Netherlands-based scuba divers in August 2014, the container was too delicate and weighty…

Very interesting! Glad they found these items and that they ended up in the right place being conserved!
There’s too much under the sea to ever be all discovered! That’s what makes it so exciting and the things dreams are made of!

It seems impossible this textile remained intact . One recalls something to do with it being in a trunk . Was there something else put in with to keep it fresh ..Cedar wood ? ....did the silver threads creat a trunk contained antiseptic solution ?

Flounder and FOUNDER are two different words. Don't try to sound nautical, if you don't know the difference.

Men - they just ‘hosed it off and threw it over a mirror’
Omg, they are diving for lost treasures - it could be seen the book at least was old. They had knowledgeable friends, seems odd they’d be so careless.

Ships have been lost at sea for centuries.  Since that was the only transport method long ago, and since oceans cover about 3/4th of the earth, there are probably many ships underneath the waters of oceans and seas.  Most are way too deep to explore, although with today's technology, sonar, etc., they can be discovered but not necessarily identified unless divers or diving vessels go down to confirm what ship it was.  Science is able to discover more today than ever before, quite an interesting adventure, but dangerous.

@ 6:46, "They ENCOURAGED inclement weather", 6:49 "The FEET had been blah blah". Is this a robo voice? I thought this was a human speaking the words.
