Robert, you're an excellent teacher.
I just recently purchased a TI-84 CE Plus, as I have always used a TI-89 that I've had for over 20 years. I purchased the TI-84 because all the students I tutor, use TI-83 or TI-84, and I would like to be able to show them how to check their answers using a calculator.
I have also seen many videos for writing a program to solve polynomials. I suspected there should be a program already on TI-84 to do this. You are one who performs this correctly.

Thank you! While I can do factoring on paper, it takes a long time. And I tend to make "dumb mistakes, " which as anyone knows, throws an entire equation off. I just bought a 'fancy' TI-84 Plus CE calculator, and while my math tutor at college did show me how to use the app, I am still unused to the new 'toy' and forgot how to do it!

Robert, I can’t thank you enough for explaining how to use this calculator’s functions! I think you’ve saved my grade!
I have a question though. I entered 5x^2-55x-300=0 and the x values are consistently opposite. The calculator displays x1=-4 and x2=15. The correct answer is +4 and -15.
