My heart is broken! I have gone to a different church the last number of weeks due to my pastor preaching Christian Nationalism for the last 6 weeks, and the second series this year. A very good friend messaged me yesterday, wanting to know if I was okay. I just told her that I had gone to a different church during the political messages, and just left it at that. This morning she messaged me that it was not political, but what the Bible says, a Biblical world view, rather than a worldly world view. I realize that I am going to lose friends over this! I have held on to the possibility of returning to my church, and I am realizing that probably isn’t going to be able to happen. What is wrong with people!

Light bulb moment! 1:09:51 when quoting the person who says “If Kamala wins God will turn his back on the country…” The problem is that this is actually ENTIRELY true. If Kamala wins, their God, their understanding of how things work and who gets favor and who doesn’t, their God of political control and domination, their God of self-righteous indignation, THAT God will no longer be poised to “lead” the country. So of course they’re preaching fire and brimstone. When you are accustomed to a God who makes you superior, any world of humility or personal challenge to grow is a living hell. It’s heart breaking.

As a woman raised in a fundie home, now agnostic, bisexual, and deeply liberal, your approach to Christianity is so refreshing. I was talking to my atheist ex-fundie husband the other day about the things we miss about Christianity, and we both have people in our lives that we point to and say, “if all Christians were like that, we’d never have left the church.” You guys definitely fall into that category for me. Thank you for the work you do, thank you for following and championing the actual teachings of Jesus. Thank you for being open and vocal about the damage that church causes while embracing the nuances of existing within the realm of Christianity as a person who rejects the hate and control present in the church.

If I could sum up Harris' debate performance it would be that she dominated Trump. Not in the toxic, aggressive way that Trump tries to dominate people, but in an entirely wholesome and joyful way. That's not withstanding the seriousness and starkness which she spoke about issues such as abortion, but when it came to her engagement with Trump. From her baiting that wouldn't fool a 4 year old, to her expressions of bewilderment, pity and laughter. All she had to be was her true self and she loved it while Donald Trump hated it. It was incredible.

Dude, you’re the first person I’ve heard speak the truth about Reagan beginning the economic destruction of the middle class. Most people just mention his trickle down economics, in that only in passing. Thank you! Reagan needs to be dethroned from his deity status in the Republican Party and, even now, among Democrats. Before trump, I ranked Reagan the worst president of the United States.
