So I used to have a wart on my knee when I was younger and would pick at just for it to grow back later. But one day when I was picking at it more than usual I managed to get what I assumed was its roots out and it never grew back.

Had lots of old-rooted warts, which didn't dissapear at all. Neither freezing, nor burning it out at the clinic helped, nor homemade medicine with garlic helped. Only an very old and very simple method, my granny shared with me about, helped to get rid of all of those warts. It's using dew on the windows. All I had to do, was waking up early at the mlrning and rubbing the warts to the window glass with dew, settled on it for two weeks daily. I did it for a week and got too lazy to continue. BUT! A month later I recognisted, that I have no warts at all. Just small scar from the biggest wart on my hand. It worked even on warts which were on my feet and only with indirect rubbing (by putting the dew on the warts).

I used apple cider vinegar on a cotton ball (diluted with some water). Put it on the wart and covered it with a bandaid. Did this for several days and the wart died and went away. Hasn’t come back.

I went on a date with a guy who had a big wart on his finger that he said, had been there for a long time. He never tried to remove it and he did not even bother to cover it with a bandage to at least prevent spreading HPV to others. I didn’t understand how he neglected his own health and he wasn’t conscientious of the well-being of others with his highly communicable virus, so I did not allow him to touch me and I ended the date immediately. I don’t understand why people keep their warts and continue to spread the virus to themselves and other people who come in contact.

I had one on my smallest toe that I kept careful shaving not know how infectious they are. Ended up with around 10 on my fingers.
Freezing worked on my toe but not fingers. Becoming paranoid with their infectious nature and avoid touching my wife and kids, I asked the dermatologist about the . most effective solution and he said "CO2 laser" where they essentially burn the warts and slightly more around it to be sure using high power laser.

The local anesthesia needles 1-2 per finger were some of the most painful I've ever endured. But they worked as I didn't feel my flesh burning, I just smelled it like a human barbeque. At end, my fingers reminded me of that scene in Broken Arrow when US planes hit friendly fire with napalm and their flesh was falling off charred.
Took a 3 weeks of healing using cold water soaks 3 times a day and using highly medicated Vaseline wraps.

I had a plantar wart on the ball of my right foot when I was 12. It itched like the dickens and hurt to bear weight on it. My Mom called my Uncle Gerald, who knew what to do. He washed my foot and TAPED A PENNY on top of the wart. He told me to leave the penny there for 3 days. Then he told me to un-tape the penny and keep it in my shoe for 7 days. It WORKED! After 7 days, nothing was left but old dead skin. No pain, itching or burning. It's never returned!

A great natural recipe for warts that has helped me and my family. Chop an onion finely and marinate it in herbal vinegar. Let the whole thing steep for at least a week and then apply to the warts three to five times a day. After 2 weeks the wart is gone.

Salicylic acid (also otc) works pretty well too! It takes much longer though, usually either as a gel or medicated band-aids, but if you get to the "roots" and really get them out, they can go away for a pretty long time (haven't had ones return on my fingers in the past 7 years)

Ive head that castor oil has this same effect without damaging other tissue. Still leaves cells left, but it looks and feels a lot better.

Weirdest thing ever! I had painful plantar warts on both balls of my feet for years.. tried many things, nothing worked.
One summer, over a week, I was painting our lofts floors with a high gloss, brick red oil paint wearing only old socks... At the end of each day, I would clean the bottom of my feet with turpentine to remove the red oil paint..
Realized a month later that the plantar warts were completely gone.
I still don't know if it was the oil paint, or the turpentine or the combination. Any thoughts?

I had terrible warts on my hands. Tried freezing them but they just came back eventually. My grandfather was like “I got this” and put paint thinner on them and it’s been 20 years now without another wart. Idk what about it worked but to this day it’s the only “old wives tale” I’ve seen work like that 😂

My cousin had tons of warts on his hands . Always coming back after they were removed by doctors and home freeze kits. So my grandpa told him to get a rock for every wart he has and put it in a paper bag and rub it all over his hands and then throw the bag behind his back and never look for it again and to this day he's never had a single wart.

I had a bunch of them and freezing didn't work that well so I used a cigarette to burn a few of them. After that they all went away!

I got these throughout my 20s and never saw them afterwards but assume they are just dormant.

I was a swimmer (warts on the feet are like a right of passage in the sport). I just picked at them until I got the root out. I was finger nail clipped a bad on off. They have never grown back.

What? HPV virus? What if we’ve always used protection how did I get it? I had one on my index finger for a few years and it just fell off on its own. Never had another one since
