“No one died on company property.” What a sick thing to say

I love the fact this kind of spineless millionaire goons call their employees "family" yet they feel absolutely no shame exploiting the shit out of them. Greed embodied.

This man is a disgusting excuse for a human being. He should be rotting in prison.

Death threats? Like rising water in an industrial building? Guess that threat didn't matter.

I don't know a single blue collar worker that, when the boss says "you guys go ahead and leave", responds with "absolutely not. I love my job too much to leave early".

This guy thinks we're all idiots.

Your story doesn't match up with multiple stories from your employees, so who's lying you or your employees?

"Due to death threats, I am forced to make this apology."

No one died on the property because they were swept away by flood waters on the property. Because you didn’t let them leave. You can’t fix this, Jerry. With all of this attention even the pathetic labor laws of this state won’t let you slide.

I have seen more sincerity from a POW reading a prepared statement from their captors.

“We are heartbroken about our loss”

He’s talking about lost productivity and damage to the warehouse.

They told them 45 minutes before? How about not even having them come into work that day. What a horrible person. And the statement was so wrong.

Oh yeah they absolutely should not have let him talk, that was a downright terrible idea. He starts his speech by making it about himself and making it clear the reason he is making this statement is to stem death threats. He then proceeds to refer to them as employees rather than people. He then proceeds to blame the victims of the flood at 1:21. Following this up it's specified they "Didn't die on company property" which is the most disney ass explanation for how it can't possibly have been them. Then reading all of this off a cue card because the speech was handed to him by a lawyer and one of god's worst PR specialist.

Oof, I believe the kids say.

Rule 1 of PR, Death Threats are temporary and will blow over when the internet gets bored and moves on, but public messages in which you show the emotional empathy of a stone wall last forever.

He's evil. The definition of a soulless specimen of cooperate greed. This wasn't anything close to resembling an apology, it was victim blaming and playing the victim all at the same time. He even admits he's only writing this because he received threats. Disgusting. Horrible example of humanity. There's too much to say really.

45 minutes? You kept employees in harm’s way until 45 minutes before their lives would be in danger? 45 minutes?!

Because of death threats you're here?

45 minutes?! It takes at least 10 minutes to exit the building and get to your car. They never should’ve been there. Plenty of businesses shut down that day. It’s not like we were in dire need of plastic that the facility couldn’t close. Rest in peace to the people that senselessly lost their lives due to this negligent, selfish “leadership”.
