Javi is a FANTASTIC player and I can't wait to share his favorite deck right now. It's a Royal Recruit Miner Poison deck that is incredibly strong defensively. The Recruits almost form a brick wall that makes it very difficult to penetrate. It also performs well against the Barb Hut spam decks going around. Today we'll watch Javi finish off a grand challenge live and even play a live ladder match ourselves! Hey guys just a note about the trade token issue I talked about in this video. First off, I know not EVERYONE hates the new system. That said, I've heard about 90/10 negative/positive feedback and I also mentioned that in my message to Supercell. Secondly, Supercell DID already get back to me providing more explanation regarding why they made the change to begin with.

This is not verbatim, btw. Just a quick summery. First off, it doesn't sound like they're going to revert the system, at least without giving the economy more time to adjust. Second, the old system had a lot of bigger issues that many of us probably weren't aware of. Things like a huge black market of people selling maxed cards, often with stolen credit cards, via bots and farming trade requests. Many of you may not care about this but you should, as other people were basically buying maxed accounts from these "farmers" for very cheap money. Another reason they changes it was to discourage the "leeching" type behavior and spamming chats with requests to do trades when you don't need to be a token holder. This allowed some players to get unlimited trades by never having to spend a token (abusing the system). Lastly, trade sniping was a big community concern and they wanted to mitigate that risk.

So those are the reasons behind the change. Now we are facing issues with the NEW system that may have been unforeseen. Rest assured that they read ALL your comments from yesterdays's video that I passed on complaining about the new system. I'll keep you guys updated on any news regarding trade tokens as soon as I hear it! Thank you for your feedback!

I think one another problem with new tokens is the problem with communication and confusion.. its hard to follow at chat....
maybe they should add new tab for trades??

I went against that barb hut recruits deck like 6 times during that 15 win challenge, and one of those had 3 musketeers in for recruits. I beat them every single time with 2.6 hog rider. One of my opponents had even finished above 5.8k last season, and had 18 wins max. I think a lot of hog players would like to know how I did it.

So they always end up with these big split lane pushes with ram, barbarians and stuff. The first step is to set up a musketeer in the middle, right between the arena towers. With the skeletons and ice spirit, you can easily kite everything right to the middle. all the units have a medium health range, which means the log comes in clutch to help out. during one defensive cycle, you can cycle through like 3 sets of logs.

Save your cannon for the ram, and once it pops, if they have a lot of units with it, you can fireball. I wouldnt do it before though. You can also use fireball effectively when they dont have the ram, since the deck doesnt have an elixir pump. The defense is a little tricky, but it is manageable.

The main problem you face when you go against this deck is of course the barbarian hut. Probably the worst counter to a hog you can go against because its practically immortal. When I played, I kept a close awareness of where they placed the hut. Sometimes my hog could sneak through especially during the beginning when they dont know you have a hog rider. Pushing your hog to the outside of the lane with ice spirit or skeletons is clutch during this time. Once they miss their barbarian hut, they really only have archers or goblin gang or whatever they used for the semi-cheap card the deck runs. Make sure you can fireball quickly enough so that your hog is at least at a quarter health. This one push if done correctly will put the game in the bag for you. If you don't get enough dmg off, then don't play your hog until they place recruits or musketeers, This is an imperfect counter, and will lead to a couple hundred dmg more. Fireball cycle is your friend. If you can, don't use your fireball on anything but the tower.

The most important card in my opinion is the log. Put it where you can get the most value on defense. I've even completely ignored the dart goblin and logged something else if it was more important. Ice golem will help keep the units in the center for both towers to shoot at, plus the musketeer etc. Sometimes you want to also go hog ice golem on offense too. I ended up finishing the challenge, went 15 and 1. My only loss was against a lavaloon with lightning and goblin gang.

Another deck I've been using that i have found to counter it fairly well is a bowler, graveyard, freeze deck. It has: bowler, graveyard, archers, freeze, tombstone, mega minion, zap, and knight in it.

Idk if you would want to try it, but it had been working for me so you might give it a shot

The double token thing doesn't even matter. Cuz no matter how many tokens u get, you're always gonna want to use them for cards u absolutely need. But before the update, u could casually make other trades that weren't necessary but made sense anyway. I think they should change it back to the way it was immediately. there are currently like 30 trades in our clan.

I saw the new meta deck and realized hog wasn’t gonna get past the barb hut at all so I made a miner poison with bowler and recruits along with flying machine and it works really well in ladder and challenges

Ash, thank you for bringing up the long tournament wait time in between matches. I was playing in one of your draft tourneys the other day and it took a minute or so between matches, which really adds up over the course of an hour long tourney. If I was near the top of the leaderboard and lost the tourney due to wait time, I would’ve been extremely disappointed.
