Beautiful speech. My husband was not my "spec" neither was I his "spec" but our CORE VALUES are the SAME!
I married him becos he is born again, loves God, lives his life according to God's principle, has a good heart, kind, generous, very loyal, 100% committed, hardworking, from a good family ( All his siblings are born again, happily married and very decent in their marriage), trust worthy, and loves me .
As a smart babe, I threw away "spec" from my head, married him and after all these many years and children am still one of the happiest married woman alive. My husband has remained the same and we have a happy marriage.
Who "spec" Tall and handsome does not give you a good marriage!!!

I was so blinded in my lately relationship. And i can't stop thanking my Jesus for saving me from that total mess... I agree Love isn't enough to settle. A man that can't be afraid to sin with you or fear God isn't the one. A man that lies his mom in front of you will do so in mariage with you! Whatever he is kind or generous or hardworking or bright or loving, as long as he does not fear the word of the Lord, he's not the one. Thanks God again. I didn't "love" my man but we were great friends, hangout buddies & gist partners.

I wasn't emotionally, sexually & financially attracted to him but him LOVING me(he said he loved me from the first day he saw me) & ticking off the boxes of a GOOD CHRISTIAN MAN in character(a man after God's heart, kind, generous, loving, funny, playful, patient, a provider, prayerful, kind, etc) made me love him.

Truthfully there were no butterflies or mushy mushy feelings in me. 3years of beings friends, we got married. He is now everything & I still wonder why my eyes weren't opened even though at times it feels like I don't love him cos of the way love is portrayed in movies. I feel I don't have any of the symptoms 😂😂

Am dating one awesome man and yesterday I had a conflicting thought about us and i talked to God in my house.. I used pst M direction she said just talk to God like your dad no tension no grammar so i did❤ and i told God I need some serious guidance and this video today is God speaking to me.. I was only conflicted because of this notion that my man has to call me and i have to feel him 24hrs... " Love is not so much an emotional decision but rather a practical decision " This is so true because while I am walking up and down looking for one true love all my Indian friends had arranged marriages where their parents just send them pictures of different men and if they are happy within 3 months they are married. Truly they all say the same thing, that the love will come after marriage. Maybe we really need to go back to the arranged marriage practice because this looking for husband by yourself sometimes just does not work especially in this UK, where all everybody does is to work, work and work. If there is anything that I learnt in the lockdown in the UK i it s that companionship truly matters because loneliness is real. I don't care how great your life is or how much you earn at the end of the day you cannot even say I have lots of friends because they have their family as well
