The Ekko vs Jinx sequence was MESMERISING! We didn’t know what to say 😆

This show is a master class in "Show, don't tell." There wasn't a single piece of dialogue about Ekko and Jinx playing that game as a kid. And yet, I felt like I grew up with them and watched them play it all the time. Brilliant.

Jinx character is so well written, sad that she tried to end herself, bc the bomb was not for ekko but herself. You can see she was tired that everyone left her behind and play to her, so she gave up realizing also that this whole time she was fighting with her childhood friend. The game that they played at the end hurt them more than the fight:(

The Jinx vs Ekko fight is probably my favourite scene from the whole show. It's unfair how perfect everything is about it.

The loss of innocence in the Jinx v Ekko fight is so powerfully represented. It truly hurts to see these two children who were once so close to each other have no other choice but to fight each other, because of the choices of others. I was on the edge of my seat just like the first time I watched this episode. You guys are such a joy to watch a long with. Your excitement is infectious and your chemistry is adorable. I always think couples reacting are the best dynamic, but you guys take the cake. Take a breather, Ep 8/9 are fast and furious, but Im excited for you two!

P.S. Kinda, sorta a rat, bat hybrid. Is that what we settled on? XD

18:21 The animation team is INSANE. The way they had Jinx almost revert back to a child in that close up just using her facial expressions was masterful. Ekko saw Powder in that moment and couldn't do it

The last scene always gets me 🥺 for a moment there that was powder who lost everything willing to just go.. She wasn't faking it
That bomb was for her more than to kill ekko ( she could've easily sticked it to him like we saw before)
Also in the the fight I'd like to believe that she held her last shot so they both hesitate in the fight

Every scene with Jinx is my favorite. Even though the character archetype of "insane/chaotic, but genius villain" isn't the most original thing (like you brought up with Harley Quinn), this show did such a good job showing how a normal kid can end up like that.

That bomb wasn't for Ekko, it was for her, it was more on suicide attempt. Because the moment Vi left her again, she had lost reason to live. You see the look in Jinx's eyes when she pulls the pin? Is just heartbreaking. You can see in her whole demeanor that she lost the will to keep going.

Ekko and Jinx fight scene is a foreshadowing of how Ekko's abilities work in the game. He can rewind time. But during that scene, he doesn't have any abilities yet and that makes it more special because it shows the attachment between both of them when they were young.

Ekko vs Jinx really hypes everyone up. One of the most creatively animated fights ever. But the most important thing that was concluded in this episode... The rat!

Viktor took his time defusing the bomb and said "we always have a choice" After because he was choosing between letting the bomb go off and killed him and Jayce and all their research and lab or not.
