The interesting thing is that if it truly is a pattern with how Jinx painted her nails this means that when ever she pulls a trigger right handed its Jinx while left handed its Powder and in episode 2 during the gun gallery game its shown that Powder is left handed and when she revisits it in episode 5 she shoots the crow a symbol of Jinx while the gun is in her left hand showing that she's trying to fight Jinx for control of her mind. Fuck the writing and symbolism in this show are deep

You know, everyone seems to think Jinx's blue cloud tattoos represent the flare and Vi finding her, but I disagree. The explosion that killed her family was blue and created blue smoke, hence the tattoos. She thought Vi was dead for years, so I don't get why she would have hoped to find her again with the flare and thus tattoo herself with the flare smoke. It's like, why bother?

I believe that’s true, from what I saw when jinx was fighting ekko and was pinned to the ground she set a Grenade off and it’s was a blue finger nail that pulled the pin as if powder got a moment was in control and wanted to End everything by ending herself

I'll take your excellent analysis and raise you this:
Blue means Powder, the weak little girl
Pink means Vi, the strong bigger sister that Powder looked up to
The pink fingernail symbolizes Jinx finding the strength she so wants

Another curious fact about that same scene is when she cries, because her tears are blue, referring to the fact that she is getting rid of what is left of Powder in her.

I agree that the scene really solidified Powder becoming Jinx, but I interpret these details a lil differently.

I've always thought of Vi as pink, and (while this might be wrong) I think Jinx told Vi that she made Jinx, not Silco. So to me, this lil detail shows that Vi was why she pulled the trigger to create jinx and to blow up the council.
Vi following what she thought was right while neglecting Powder (like in the first act warehouse and then joining Cait to confront Silco) were both essentially triggers for the explosion.

Regardless if my thoughts make sense, thank you for pointing out this detail! I really appreciate these kinds of analyses

Fun fact, that’s not a tattoo. You can actively see it chip fade and change! She’s drawing this cloud of hope and symbol of her sister into her over and over. Again and again she traces this plume of smoke onto herself holding onto the hope that her sister will save her from hell.

Character design in arcane is such another level - seriously, this series is a masterclass in most facets, but I’ve never seen any that take the rule of CD and run with them so perfectly.

If the smoke tattoos represent her reuniting with Vi then that means that they’ve known her backstory since they first made e character in league, so they’ve known about this for years

Everything about this show is pure masterpiece. There is so much to unpack in this animation. This is one Netflix series that I truly enjoy so I am really looking forward to the next season.

An interesting assessment, though in point of fact it isn't just this end scene. If you pay attention, you'll see her that's just how her nails are throughout (pink on the left index finger, aka her trigger finger)

So, if your interpretation of color meaning is correct (wouldbe interestingto confirm that as the intended meaning), it was ALWAYS Jinx pulling the trigger, with the death of Silco/the following few shots being where Jinx won out in the struggle over Powder.
