Beating Whacka by Doing Absolutely Nothing

Whacka is a new superboss at the end of the Pit of 100 Trials in the Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door remake for Nintendo Switch.

Since Whacka hurts himself when he creates more Whacka Bumps, it should theoretically be possible to win the fight without doing anything at all, right?
That's what I set out to find out, and here's the result. Whacka just beats himself...

In order to survive I needed a lot of defense for low BP, since his red Bumps do a whopping 27 damage. I did this by cloning a bunch of P-Down, D-Up badges.

You were very lucky in this fight, because he didn’t heal a single time after one of the 1st turns. You would’ve been luckiER if 3 things fell on him when he was at 3 HP. Also, nice HP number in the thumbnail. 👌

No wonder this is such a "rare" species. They intentionally knock themselves out on their opponents, if aggravated. Pretty dumb if I say so myself.

Funnily enough, in my battle vs Whacka, he ended up ending the fight with his own attack. He was left to 1 hp from my turn and then dropped a prop on himself.
