That line “ your a really great kid Greg .” Was a great line from the final movie of the trilogy

Steve Zahn was actually really great in those movies, not only the goofy fun moments

1st movie: Greg fixes his relationship with his best friend
2nd movie: Greg fixes his relationship with his brother
3rd movie: Greg fixes his relationship with his dad
Man I wish we got one more movie with the original cast

“A man who never made a mistake, never made anything. The trick is to be responsible and to learn from your mistakes.”

A real life lesson right there, I recommend this lesson to everybody.

These movies are infinitely superior to the books for the sole reason that they actually develop and add depth to the characters.

Greg in this trilogy has a better relationship with his family and friends than he does in the later books.

I don't think Greg is a wimp. Look at what he's had to endure in his life and he still manages to keep on moving forward with life.

He has more than proven more than once that he is not a wimp.

The fact that in the trilogy, Greg actually learns and has development and grows as a character, I think it does a better job than the books to show the character growth

This to me is the best scene in the whole DOAWK franchise. It captures the true essence and importance of understanding, honesty, and love. Though I don't think Dog Days is as good as Rodrick Rules, I'd say that out of all the movies, I love this movie's messages the most.

I love how Greg is a good kid at heart in the movies and not a complete sociopath like in the books lol 🤣🤣

I think that for a kids movie this does a really good job of capturing the Father/Son relationship. I feel like there’s a point, at least for me there was, where you don’t really feel like a “man” in the eyes of your father. He sets the standard from the start of your life, a standard you compare yourself to especially when you’re Greg’s age. And you sort of feel like a failure, like you’ll never really live up to your dad’s expectations. It’s hard to describe, but every father needs to have a conversation like this with their son when the time is right.

This is the most sweetest scene in the film

I love these movies so much ❤, they were very special to me and were a huge part of my childhood. I'm glad, and I thank God I grew up with these 3 movies. They had heart, depth, character development and were very loyal to the books. Thank you so much Jeffy Kinney for an awesome childhood.

Now compare this to the book where all he does is not tell Greg about it until the last second. Greg assumes it's because he bailed him out at a party. Such an anticlimactic ending.

Steve Zahn and Zach Gordon are amazing actors, they work really great as father and son!

Frank is so much more likeable here than in the books. In the book, Frank decided not to send Greg to Spag Union because...

Greg accidentally embarrassed himself in public which prevented Frank from having to do so.
