Came here from It's Ok to Be Smart. Glad I did, this was real interesting. Crash Course calls it Lateral Navigating if I remember well, because it asks us to navigate the web laterally by opening multiple tabs and switching between them in a lateral movement instead of just scrolling up and down that one page with the sensational info :D

Great job, @hari. I'm a regular NewsHour viewer, and I love your new project. Of course, is the best. Kudos to Judy. See you soon. #TakeOnFake #PBSNEWS

Super sleuthing tools for checking facts. So well presented that I feel fairly confident using them myself. Looking forward to more of Take on Fake.

This is great! Thank you so much for doing all these online detective work. There is so much fake stuff online these days. Doing something about it has to be a revolutionary act. Goerge Orwell said it well: "In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth Is a revolutionary act."

All you had to do to tell that the video didn't take place in Italy was look at the license plates on the cars. Italian license plates are like long strips.
The type of license plates in the video typically are only found in the Americas.

Thank you so much for doing this.

The USDOT style pedestrian sign was also a huge giveaway.

Why would anyone even want to believe that two hospital staff would be running behind a patient by themselves no security no one else following?

Now all we need is for journalists to actually do this kind of investigative work instead of putting out poorly-checked misinformation. Sadly, almost nothing in how our media operates today is set up for that. :(

At first glance the video looked like it was from North America. Just from the way the streets and the cars looked, the traffic lights. Electric lines above ground are not common in the EU.

Now if you can start teaching the rest of mainstream media to use Google we could get back to more accurate reporting again!

I have done things like this. There are some good tools to expose the mountains of shit sitting on the truth. Well done!
