Our 1JZ swapped Volvo runs 10s, but that's not quick enough for us so we're fitting a new Pulsar G35 1050 turbo to put it into the nine-second zone.

I was about to say that it's crazy that you're running a bone stock 1JZ and are hoping to make 600+ whp, but I made 412 whp reliably on a bone stock (with head studs and a Cometic head gasket) Honda 1.8L DOHC non-VTEC B18B1. I had only done a stock rebuild on it with OEM NPR rings, and ACL Race rod and main bearings with a stone honing. The stock PR4 internals held 15 psi from a Turbonetics 60-1 with no issues...and that was on 93 octane pump gas! I'll be excited to see what this old girl can make on 2.5L and that good sized G35 turbo. You gotta love those new G series turbos, they're just the best.

Hey Mate-if you use a heavy steel nut and string instead of the wire on the rag-it just drop right through to the other side-then just pull it through to clean.

The last turbo Volvo I worked on was a V70. Wish the turbo change was as easy on that. Can't wait to see the results of this swap 👍

Just a heads up on the coolant pressure Scotty, That Green cap holds 1.5 Bar soooo the cooling system is sealed tighter than a mermaids freckle.
The Grey cap runs .75 bar from memory and its what should be OE on an earlier 240 and more likely to vent to atmos.

Scott, titanium fasteners are notorious for galling (cold welding) even to themselves. Anti-seize away!
