I’ve had my Apex Pros since 2011ish. Wouldn’t change them. Such good clubs. So soft, so versatile & very true lofts. Love them

Yes! We deserve better when being fit for a set of irons, please allow us to hit short mid and long irons so we can get a better experience

First off, your swing looks wonderful now that your swing changes have integrated a bit more. Need more content on this please as the stuff you've offered has been great. In regards to the irons, as a +1 cap I wouldn't game the MB. I could in the bottom of the bag but no point. I'd go CB all the way through.

A friend of mine had the Pro irons. I hit the 8 iron at the range once and it really nice.

These are always good looking… That being said I’ll wait to see what the new Mizuno stuff looks like. Great stuff Mark!

Great review! Could you please do a review on 2023 Cobra king irons? Tour, CB and Mb
Thanks for all you do.

Mark, there seems to be a trend of manufacturers making irons that blend sets. Problem os when you go for a fitting you only ever seem to hit a 7 iron, most regular fittings only have that available to them, how are you supposed to get a blended set if you only hit 7 iron?

went with the pro 4-6 and the CB 7-P, excited to get them on the course!

Hey Mark, that is an interesting camera angle at 4:43 on your backswing into your downswing. Could you break that down on what your are doing with weight transfer and your left foot sliding back on your downswing thru impact. Thanks

If I had to play Callaway irons, I would probably go MB from PW to 7 or 8 and then CB... just like my current set. I've tried "helping" clubs, and found that they don't really add much in terms of distance or control on misshits, but they don't feel as good flushed from the middle and it's harder to keep the ball flight lower with the more "help" they give you. So with my high ball flight, playing often in windy conditions, MB/CB it is... Now the thing is that "plate" in the back doesn't look that nice to me. I prefer a pure, clean, one-piece look in my irons...

Hello Mr C. Any chance you could get to review the Wishon 585PC. It’s a combo set, blades P-8 and CB 7-4. I think they are available through Diamond golf, which I believe is based in the UK.

Going for the pro, they look perfect. Hardly any offset and a lite help for those off center hits.

I’m waiting to hit the pro. Comparing them to the t150 and t200

$215 per in US. Been in T100/S for 3 years now but these have me salivating.

I play its predecessor, the TCB, at +1.5 inch. The changeable weight made a normal swingweight possible, couldn't do that with any other brand.

Question for the pro fitters. In a combo set, would you recommend the same shaft from 4i to PW or it would be ok to have one specific shaft for the 4-5-6 and a different one for the 7-8-9-PW?

Here’s why I’m asking. I got fitted for a combo 4-5-6 Paradym (weak lofted) and 7-8-9-PW Apex CB (strong lofted) with True temper Elevate 95g shaft. Numbers where dialled in 7 iron 125mph ball, 6000 rpm backspin, carry 180.

The issue came when I was ready to order them, Callaway doesn't install that shaft in the CB. I went back to try the True temper Dynamic gold XP 95g S300. Numbers were pretty much the same but feel was not the same probably due to the kick point being mid for the Dynamic gold and low for the Elevate.

Which of theses two options would be better and why?

1- Go with the Paradym/CB combo with two different shafts.
2- Go with the Paradym/Apex pro combo to be able to have the Elevate shaft in all irons.

Hope I can get some good advice on that.

Cheers!

+4 handicapper trying to decide between 2024 T100 and Apex CB/MB blended set. Which iron would you lean towards for turf interaction?

What shaft was used? Thoughts on DG 115 mid?
