As some of you have mentioned:
The bB was the Scion xB for Asian markets.
The dimensions of 3, 990mm length, 1, 790mm width, 1855mm height
exceed Kei car limitations on the length (3, 400) and width (1, 480).
Let's dream it can make it to AMERICA!!!

As the owner of a 2005 Scion XB I bought when it first came out and still have it, I would put my money on this with my eyes closed if it was to come to 🇺🇲

That "kayoibako"/xB successor looks incredible. Just like the 90s, Japan always gets the coolest things. We really should walk into Lexus/Toyota dealerships and ask for these nice things. Just like the Lexus LM

If the government really cared about the environment, they would make the Kei cars have the same safety requirements as they do in Japan (not the more strict ones of America) and not tax them at all so they could be imported and sold in America.

❤ Love this! If the camper van has a high range solid-state battery, it's a home run! ⚾

It might be the successor of Lite Ace/Town Ace, since the dimension were similar to the said model.

In the 70's and 80's Townace were much popular aa a family van than as utility van. Townace and Mitsubishi Delica have even a 4x4 version back then.

I just love how you point out all of these little details we would never think of.

And most won't be sold in the US because we can only buy a dozen interchangeable crossovers(the only really unique one being the Renegade and thats getting discontinued in 2025), Japanese or Korean sedans/hatchbacks and enormous 4 door pickup trucks.

Yes please! 🙏 🇨🇦
I’ve owned both generations of XB but I miss my 1st gen the most!

Ngl I would totally rock that van if Toyota brings it to the US! Make it plug in hybrid electric & slap a solar panel power set up for a mobile office & I'm going nomadic tbh!

I hope they see how much we like the kei trucks from importing 25 yrs later that we get the Kayoibako! Also I want the Toyota Stout that you were bringing up too

I have a 2006 Scion Xb. Salsa Red. 114K miles. I love this car. I want a new one. A gas engine. I bought mine brand new for $14, 100. Best car I have ever owned.

They should bring it here and make a commercial version. I think it can cut into the ford transit market. The regular version should got the TRD route for more versatility.

love the boxy anime style design where everything on the car is labeled.

I thought this was lame when I first saw it but then I saw the tailgate! That changed everything. I’d buy one of these especially to overland it

People don't realize how revolutionary the gen 1 Scion xB really was. I'm still so upset that Toyota went to gen 2 and also discontinued xB brand. If they kept the original box design and kept updating it, it would have the same legendary status as the Prius but better looking (my opinion).
My main 3 things about it was the amount of visibility, amount of space and just plain fun.
If I had to have only 3 cars in my garage collection it would be 1. Scion xB 1st gen 2. Tesla Cybertruck and 3. Tesla Model S. Each I believe were way ahead of its times.
If anyone reading this has never drove or rented one. Please do it and you'll see.
