LAST TRIAL: A Star Wars Collateral Story

Synopsis: 18 years after the great Jedi purge and the rise of the galactic empire, a lost padawan acting as a rebel spy and a rookie stormtrooper face the hardest and most important trial of their lives whilst surrounded by a storm of smoke, fire and thousands of blaster bolts.

Last Trial - A Star Wars Collateral Story is an Award Winning STAR WARS FAN FILM shot in El Teide, a volcano in Tenerife, Canary Islands. It was directed by Marino Darés and features Pablo R. Montenegro and Alex Falcon as the main cast.

The original soundtrack was composed from Florida by Jake Cadmus, who also created the music for the well known fanfilm Vader: Shards of the Past (2018) by Star Wars Theory.

The shooting was supported by the official administration of the Teide National Park and a local fan group, Fuerza Imperial de Tenerife.

I’ll be honest I teared up a little by the time it finished. Despite it being a short fan film, I enjoyed it quite a bit and felt like I was a kid again watching Star Wars for the first time. Splendid work in my opinion.

Whether or not it was intentional, the hole in the storm troopers helmet shows awesome symbolism of a shift from being a mindless, robotic stormtrooper for the empire to exposure of the face and therefore a heightened display of individualism and identity.

We don't get anywhere near enough content of Padawans so smoothly transitioning to Knight, most get too cocky and get themselves captured or killed especially in such a situation it makes for an especially interesting angle to work with :v

Edit: that being said rip rookie jedi knight, you tried your best and had a neat moment, here's to hoping TK-438 handles the main quest well!

Stormtroopers in fan films make better characters than Disney protagonists. Your work it another testament to that. Action, emotional scenes, character development: All is in here and I loved it!

This was wonderful! Everything from the story, down to the effects was amazing! Even if their wasn't that much dialogue the acting spoke louder than words ever could. Overall, this was a 10/10 film.
