for the benefit of the confused people that wonder why there is a huge black spot in the middle of the uk I want to say that that spot is the county of buckingham and they do not have a vote because their 'Mp' is the speaker (John Bercow) in parliament

even when Labour won, there was so much blue on the map I couldn't tell. Labour must find it's success in the smaller city constituencies I guess. ah well.

My home country. I love it, but my god, our politics don't half bring us to the brink of civil war sometimes. I love this! It's pretty much the first video I've found that depicts every election result accurately. Will you be doing an updated version once our December election is out of the way?

The map would give a better impression if it was re-scaled to reflect the population size of constituencies, rather than the geographical size.
Like the map the BBC has started using in its Election Night coverage.

There is a mistake in your 2005, although the Liberal Democrats did win 62 seats across the UK they did not win any constituencies in Lincolnshire

It is kind of interesting to see, how the celtic nationalistic regional parties start growing ... sinn féin, Plaid cymru and the Scottish nationalist.

DUP made coalition with the conservatives??? They should be put on the bottom with the conservatives for the 2017 elections? Not to mention Sinn Fein stands with neither party.
