I just finished episode 2, this is such a nice show about magical girls! My favorite right now is Mami for sure. I can't wait to see how the rest of this show goes!

Despite the tender melody and cute voice, this song is actually tragic if you understand the lyrics. In this song, Madoka says (to Homura, of course), "See you tomorrow, " although she knows she will never see her best friend again. In fact, the lyrics features Madoka's sorrowful feelings the day before her desperate battle against the Walpurgis Night in Homura's first loop in Episode 10.

I will never forget the feeling I got when I finish episode 12 and saw this ED and the lyrics were the final straw for me to burst up crying.

I had no clue this ed exist bcs for whatever reason the place I watch it cut this out and replace it with the second Ed, which robs away the experience of listening to it during the turning point of the anime

honestly a severily underrated ending. i think it's too overshadowed by ed 2 - which is amazing, don't get me wrong, hearing it at the end of ep 3 is seriously shocking and it's kind of mind-blowing to hear this sudden change after all the events that have happened on the screen and the calmness of ed 1 - but that's also what is so great about ed 1. It really had this comforting vibe that's supposed to make you feel safe and sympathize with the characters, the first time you hear the lyrics you don't think anything of them because you don't have the context but after watching the show... everything drastically changes. you realize the brutal nature of the show and when you listen and hear the lyrics of ed 1 again - what was comforting & nostalgic before turns into the most agonizing experience you can go through with the saddest lyrics you'll ever hear. i just think unfortunately not enough people come back to listen to this ending again though.

It's a little bit sad that this show will always only be one of those "troling shows". Madoka magica as so much more to offer just like this Ed. It's not only there to make it as cute as possible so that the could trick you. I mean just look at the text and then you realize how sad the melody and the whole sound actually is. Especially the last line hurts so much in the combination with the sound of the track and the context of the show
