This is again, pretty silly. Nampa and Rexburg are over 300 miles apart. That's literally like claiming Paris and Amsterdam are in the same metro area.

This is a bit of a stretch, to be completely honest.

The Rio Grande Valley in TX feels a lot smaller on the U.S. side. Mostly sleepy towns with not a lot going on, except SPI on the Gulf.

The Idaho towns and cities strung along the Snake River are mainly potatoes, sugar beets, and Mormons.

you gotta do Northwest Arkansas. it's all like one big city stretching forever

If you’re going as small as Marquette, then consider the Black Hills Region of South Dakota. The Rapid City Metropolitan Area is estimated to be 145, 000 and has many smaller cities 20, 000 or below linked together

Omg I'm from Iowa City and before you even got to that part, i had a weird premonition that you were going to mention us. Cedar rapids and Iowa City are very connected, many people commute between them for work or social reasons. There used to be a train between the cities! Not sure how connected Waterloo is though

I would consider the area of NW SC, encompassing Spartanburg, Greenville, and Anderson to be a better example of this "mini-megalopolis".

I feel like no one ever talks about the metropolitan area!

Next one should be the research triangle, Raleigh, durham, chapel hill . could possibly add Greensboro Winston-Salem and high point to.

Great video! It would be interesting if you covered the Northwest Arkansas metropolitan area. It’s booming, but it’s not coming from a single city. All the main hub cities have around the same population as one another.

The 1.4m Idaho “miniopolis” links into the northern fringes of Utah’s Wasatch Front CSA (2.8m). It’s only 4 hours from down town Boise to SLC. This would be a true “Megalopolis” from Ontario, OR to Nephi, UT of 4+m population.

Nice to see that city scape of Cedar Rapids in the opening there. Haven't seen it since I was young.
